What's on a Blank Baseball Lineup Card

Batting Order

Numbered rows for each batter, typically 9 rows for standard lineups or up to 20 rows for continuous batting order leagues.

Position Tracking by Inning

Grid columns for each inning so you can mark where each player is playing (P, C, 1B, 2B, etc.) and rotate positions without losing track.

Jersey Numbers

A dedicated # column next to each player name, required by most leagues for umpire card submissions.

Substitution Log

Bench rows at the bottom to record who comes in, for whom, and in which inning. Keeps your official card accurate through late-game changes.

Blank Softball Lineup Cards

Softball leagues use two common lineup formats, and we have blank templates for both.

Continuous batting order leagues (common in rec and youth softball) need a card that holds the full roster, up to 20 players, in batting sequence, with a grid to track fielding positions each inning. Our 5-inning and 6-inning continuous batting order templates (Fielding Rotation Cards) work for both baseball and softball.

DP/FLEX softball leagues use a 10-player lineup with a Designated Player and FLEX positions that can sub in and out without removing the DP from the batting order. Our Softball DP/FLEX template has a dedicated section for the DP/FLEX relationship plus 11 bench rows for substitutions.
