Throwing Drill: Towel Throwing Drill (Baseball & Softball)
Use a weighted towel to work on throwing mechanics without a ball. The weighted end should fly straight toward the target.
How to Run This Drill
- Each player needs a towel about 12-18 inches long. Tape or tie one end to create weight.
- Players pair up and stand about 20-30 feet apart.
- Using normal throwing mechanics, throw the towel to your partner.
- Focus on full arm extension and proper release point. The weighted end should fly toward the target.
- Go through the complete throwing motion including footwork and follow-through.
- Great for working on mechanics without arm stress.
