Throwing Drill: 21-Point Throwing Accuracy (Baseball & Softball)
Competitive accuracy game played during catch. Chest-level catches score 1 point, head-level scores 2. First to 21 wins.
How to Run This Drill
- During regular catch, keep score based on throw accuracy.
- Award 1 point for each ball caught at chest level - the ideal target.
- Award 2 points for balls caught at head level - still accurate but slightly high.
- Deduct points for throws that are uncatchable (wild throws).
- If a throw is accurate but the receiver drops it, points still go to the thrower.
- First player to 21 points wins. To speed up the game, play to 15 instead.
