Scorebook Live is league-first software. Strong if your league has standardized on it, thin if you are an individual team. State high school associations sometimes require it. The individual-team feature set lags GameChanger meaningfully.

Best for: teams in leagues that already use it.

Will Any of These Score the Game For You?

Not in 2026, and it is worth knowing why before you pick.

GameChanger's AI runs after the game. Recaps, highlight reels, Player Insights, and the GameStream Radio audio broadcast are all built from scoring data that a person already tapped in, and the February 2026 update expanded all of it. The Pixellot partnership announced in December 2025 puts fixed cameras at rec fields, which is about capturing video, not about scoring the game. Whichever app you pick, somebody is still recording every play.

The one product genuinely trying to remove the scorekeeper is Pocket Blue, which mounts a phone on the backstop and works out balls, strikes, outs, runs, and base runners from the camera. It is pre-release: Kickstarter through October 2026, delivery quoted for March 2027, 39 to 99 dollars. Worth watching, not worth waiting on for this season.

Everything else being sold as AI scorekeeping is automation with a label on it. That is not a knock, it is just a different thing, and it does not change who has to sit there and tap.
