Hitting Drill: Tee Time (Softball)
Batters work on hitting line drives off a tee in pairs, focusing on controlled, level swings without the pressure of pitch recognition.

How to Run This Drill
- Divide group into pairs and line up outside batting cage
- Name one player as hitter, one as feeder
- First team steps up to tee with helmets on
- Feeder places ball on tee and steps away
- Hitter takes a controlled level swing, hitting line drives through the box
- Feeder places another ball after each swing (staying safe distance away)
- When bucket is empty, retrieve all balls and switch positions
Coaching Points
- Focus on balance and finish
- Work on proper form without pitch pressure
- Even MLB players do tee work regularly
