Fielding Drill: Shorthop Gauntlet (Baseball & Softball)

Instructions
Set up stations where coach or partner creates short hop bounces. Player must field each short hop cleanly and make accurate throw. Progress through multiple stations or increase difficulty.
Coaching Points
- Keep glove low and out in front
- Watch the ball all the way into glove
- Use soft hands to absorb the bounce
- Stay balanced and athletic
- Don't stab at the ball
- Practice with both forehand and backhand
