Warmup Throwing Drill: Hit the Helmet (Baseball & Softball)
Players work on throwing accuracy by trying to hit a helmet placed at home plate, with optional dollar bill prize for extra motivation.

How to Run This Drill
- Place a helmet at home plate (optional: stick a dollar bill in a vent)
- Line team up at shortstop or appropriate distance for skill level
- Place bucket of balls at front of the line
- On coach's call, first player throws at the helmet
- After one try, next player is up
- Whoever hits the helmet first wins the round (and the money!)
- Move players further away and play again
Coaching Points
- Bounces count! Doesn't matter how many bounces to hit helmet
- Use non-throwing arm to point at target
- Great for building accuracy with real motivation
- Can replace helmet with any other object to toggle difficulty
