New Feature: edit lineups using the field view
See your lineup edits on an actual baseball diamond. Drag players to swap positions and step through each inning visually.
Edit lineups using a field view, with drag and drop. Whether you're generating a brand-new lineup or editing one you've already saved, click the Field toggle in the toolbar and your lineup shows up on a baseball diamond — each player on the position they're playing that inning, the bench beneath the field, and the batting order on the right. Drag a player onto another to swap them, then step through innings with Prev / Next.
How to turn it on
After you generate a lineup, or when you open a saved game's editor, click the Field segment of the toggle in the toolbar (right next to Undo / Redo). The Table and Field views share the same lineup — anything you change in one shows up in the other.
Drag and drop to swap positions
Drag any player chip onto another to swap their positions. As you drag, the destination shows you the result before you release. Drag a player onto the bench to take them out for the inning; drag a bench player onto a field spot to put them on the field.
When to use Field View vs Table View
- Field View is the dugout view. Great during the game on a tablet to show kids where they're playing, and during pre-game prep when you want to see the alignment.
- Table View is the planning view. Great for scanning the whole season-style grid, locking cells across many innings, or printing a lineup card.
Try Field View by clicking the Field toggle the next time you generate a lineup or open a saved game.
