Soccer fields are slippery, muddy, and not very well-maintained. Bring some serious grass cleats if you're going to play here! It's pretty much always empty though - and the goals are in decent shape - so it's a decent backup spot for large groups. Found some cool shapes in the grass though 👍👍

The only thing that would make this family friendly skatepark/playground better would be a bath house. Located in a quiet corner of Allston, there is a gas station across the street which allows use of the restroom. The Dunkin’ Donuts that is also across the street has made the use of the restroom an employee only benefit. Otherwise the field is surrounded by tall office buildings and a hotel. The field itself though is a skaters/bikers/roller-skaters dream. There are two areas with play structures with a variety of climbing and sliding choices. My boys and I were there for a good four hours one day. We have yet to go during the summer but I’m curious to see if ppl have picnics there on the giant grass area too.

Pros: Nice little concrete park Awesome pump track Accessible location Cool features (rail, hips, ledges, banks with and without coping) Cool location right next to Harvard Stadium Cons: No tree cover at the skatepark Skate park flow could be better (widen it) Manual pad is a little small No water fountain or bathrooms Kids playing on the pump track made it extremely dangerous (and annoying). Kids are not permitted without adult supervision yet people think it’s ok to ignore these rules at virtually every skatepark in Boston that I’ve been to. Don’t follow the Boston parking laws. Harvard University is on a power trip and tickets cars that otherwise wouldn’t be ticketed if it were the BPD. Got a ticket for not paying a meter on a Sunday. Every car on the street did. Clearly they’re making up their own rules.
