  Nice turf in an area with surprisingly decent parking spot availability. I was not expecting the field to be as nice as it was. With fields like this, I generally want a taller fence or netting, but we only had a couple of balls get outside of it, so better than most.

  “Hard by the expressway” read an article in the Globe soon after its opening in ‘06-‘07. The only sort of persistent concern is that if a ball can be launched over the fence during action…not onto the expressway but on to Albany Street. The fences are high but not sure if completely enclosed with netting to prevent the possibility; and psychologically this can impact an athlete from distributing full scale long distance shots or passes for that reason, yes. Of course if a vehicle with low clearance were to run over a soccer ball it could cause all kinds of troubles, although more likely it would either be seen in advance to be averted or perhaps bounce off the bumper. But it’s always in the back of everyones minds, the ball, yes, the ball.

  Great during COVID times. Large field. Not overcrowded yet by students. Soccer/football goals are still up and usable.
