Hitting Drill: The Grass Game (Baseball & Softball)
Elimination hitting game where players must hit the ball into fair territory grass on one swing. Miss or foul and you are out.
How to Run This Drill
- Set up home plate with the coach pitching from a short distance.
- Each player comes to the plate and gets exactly one swing.
- The batter must hit the ball into fair territory grass to stay alive.
- If the ball does not land in grass (foul, miss, or caught), the player is eliminated.
- Continue rounds until only one player remains as the winner.
- Great game for practicing contact and putting the ball in play.
