How to Run This Drill

  1. Runner at first cannot leave until ball is caught
  2. Runner does pop-up slide into second, then continues to third
  3. Runner at third cannot leave until ball is thrown
  4. Every ground ball goes to first, then 1B throws home
  5. Home throws to 2B, 2B to 1B, 1B to 2B, 2B to 3B
  6. 3B back to 1B, 1B to catcher

Coaching Points

  • College-level drill requiring focus and communication
  • Pop-up slides allow faster continuation
  • Defensive communication is critical
