Infield Drill: Goalie Drill Game (Baseball & Softball)

Fun fielding game where hitters protect a goal behind them with their glove and any means necessary.

How to Run This Drill

  1. Set up a hockey or lacrosse goal as a backstop behind the player who's turn it is.
  2. Throw, hit or use a pitching machine to get balls past the player and into the goal.
  3. The fielding player ideally tries to catch the ball, but more importantly does what they can to keep the ball in front.
  4. Two points for catching with the glove and one point for stopping from going into the net.
  5. Play knockout style or keep track of who scores the most points.
