Change-Up Tee - Video Demonstration

How to Run This Drill

  1. Tee set up in front of the middle of the plate, further away from the plate than a normal contact point
  2. Hitter sets up even with the plate, while partner places a ball on the tee
  3. Hitter keeps their hands back and the ball should be hit back through the middle of the field
  4. Objective is to learn how to sink into the front side while keeping the hands back to hit a changeup
  5. Focus is on sinking into the front leg after the stride foot lands while staying back with the hands
  6. Great for hitters that cannot stay back or commit early to over-stride • Partners switch after 10 swings
