Pitching Drill: Chair Drill (Baseball & Softball)
Uses a chair to correct stride length issues. The front foot should land just in front of the chair, preventing over-striding or under-striding.

How to Run This Drill
- Place a chair on the ground in front of the pitcher at the appropriate stride distance for that player.
- Pitcher goes through full windup or stretch delivery toward the catcher.
- As the front foot comes down, it should land directly in front of the chair - not on it, not short of it.
- The chair also prevents the pitcher from opening up too early because the leg must clear it.
- After landing properly in front of the chair, complete the throw with normal follow-through.
- Perform 10-15 reps with the chair, then remove it and try to maintain the same stride length and feel.
