Fun Drill: Infield Knockout (Baseball & Softball)
High-energy competition where players are eliminated for errors. Great for any skill and keeps kids engaged. Miss a play and you are out!

How to Run This Drill
- All players line up in a single file line.
- Coach hits ground balls (or fly balls) one at a time to each player in order.
- Player must field cleanly (you can include throwing if you want). Any error and they are out.
- Eliminated players sit down or shag balls in the outfield.
- Continue until one player remains - they are the champion.
- Variations: give younger players 2-3 lives, have teams compete, or let eliminated players do exercises to get back in.
Coaching Points
- Keep the pace fast - no standing around between plays
- Adjust difficulty to the age group
- Give younger players multiple lives to stay engaged
- Have eliminated players shag balls or do pushups
- Celebrate the winner but keep it fun for everyone
