Infield Drill: 2nd Baseman Forehand Spin (Baseball & Softball)
Advanced double play feed where second baseman uses a forehand spin move to deliver the ball to the shortstop covering second.

How to Run This Drill
- Coach positions near home plate with balls. Second baseman is at normal depth, shortstop is ready to cover second.
- Coach hits a ground ball toward the second base side of the second baseman - not directly at them, but toward the bag.
- Second baseman fields the ball while moving toward second base. Momentum is already going toward the bag.
- As the ball is fielded, second baseman plants on the glove-side foot and spins toward the shortstop.
- Using a forehand flip motion (palm facing the shortstop), deliver the ball chest-high as the shortstop arrives at the bag.
- Shortstop receives the feed, touches second, and throws to first to complete the double play. Rotate through 10 reps.
