Using Dugout Edge Without an Account

Most tools on Dugout Edge work without creating an account. Visit any tool page and start using it immediately:

  • Lineup Generator (/lineup-generator)
  • Practice Planner (/practice-planner)
  • Digital Chalkboard (/chalkboard)
  • All 10 calculators
  • Drill Library
  • Coaching Handbook
  • Baseball Terms Dictionary
  • Pitch Count Tracker
  • League Schedule Creator
  • Tournament Bracket Generator
  • Magnetic Lineup Board

Without an account, nothing is saved between sessions. You can still export lineups and practice plans as PDF or CSV.

Creating an Account

An account lets you save teams, rosters, lineups, and practice plans.

  1. Go to Sign Up
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Create a password
  4. Verify your email
  5. Start saving your work

Premium Subscription

Premium unlocks saving and team management across all tools.

Pricing

  • Monthly: $8/month
  • Annual: $60/year

Starting Your Subscription

  1. Go to Pricing
  2. Click "Start Free Trial"
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Enter your credit card (required for the trial)
  5. Your 7-day free trial begins immediately

Important: Your credit card is required upfront. After 7 days, your subscription starts automatically unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime during the trial at no charge.

What Premium Includes

  • Save unlimited teams and rosters
  • Save lineups and access them on game day
  • Save practice plans and reuse them
  • Save custom chalkboard plays
  • Team and game management

Managing Your Subscription

View Subscription Status

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. View your current plan, billing cycle, next billing date, and payment method

Cancel Subscription

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  3. Confirm cancellation
  4. You keep premium access until the end of your current billing period

Your saved data (teams, lineups, plans) remains in your account. If you resubscribe later, everything is still there.

Update Payment Method

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click "Update Payment Method"
  3. Enter new card details
  4. Click "Save"

Switch Between Monthly and Annual

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select Monthly or Annual
  4. Change takes effect at your next billing cycle

Team Setup (Premium)

Create a Team

  1. Go to Teams and click Create Team
  2. Enter team details:
    • Team Name (e.g., "Pirates 10U")
    • Sport: Baseball or Softball
    • Age Group
    • Season (e.g., Spring 2026)
  3. Click Create Team

Add Players

  1. Select your team
  2. Click Add Player
  3. Enter player information:
    • Name
    • Jersey Number (optional)
    • Position Preferences (1-10 scale for each position)
  4. Click Save Player
  5. Repeat for all players

Your saved roster is automatically available in the Lineup Generator and Practice Planner.

Account Settings

Profile Information

Go to Account Settings to update:

  • Name
  • Email address

Change Your Password

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Update your password

Reset a Forgotten Password

  1. Go to Login
  2. Click "Forgot Password?"
  3. Enter your email
  4. Check your email for the reset link
  5. Follow the link to set a new password

Troubleshooting

Cannot Log In

  • Verify your email address is correct
  • Check caps lock (passwords are case-sensitive)
  • Try resetting your password
  • Clear browser cache and cookies

Email Verification Not Received

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Wait a few minutes (sometimes delayed)
  3. Click "Resend Verification Email" on the login page

Payment Issues

  • Card declined: Contact your bank
  • Invalid card: Double-check card number and expiration date
