Real good program they introduce My Son to select baseball towards the end of their season allowed him to practice hop in a tournament to get the feel for it.

Without doubt the best place to train and play for players who want to be great. Expect to work hard. Winter Academy include pitching, hitting, weight lifting, catching, and outdoor infield/outfield reps every week from Nov until end of Feb. Academy is optional and is an additional cost, but exceptional value for the amount of training you get. Renting out 4 turf baseball fields at every Fri night w/lights from 5 to 9pm from beginning of Nov to end of Feb is not cheap. If you want the best training (hitting, pitching, fielding) and chase greatness, there's no better place.

Absolutely amazing! My son has played since 8u, the Snells are standup guys, full of integrity and the best baseball knowledge out there. As anything, it isn’t a perfect fit for everyone (but either is travel ball 😆🤣), but it’s been great for our son.

Select does not care about your kid. My son played at Select for 2.5 years. This summer he tried out (again), made the team (again). We went through the fall, and winter workouts without a word from coaches. After a scrimmage we got a text from the coach calling a meeting. The coaches and the manager of the program were there. The coach said "It's my (coach's) fault. (He) just was unable to reach (my son). We have decided he should play elsewhere." We were off the team. Weeks before the season started in earnest. No time or plan to find a different team. My son was destroyed. We were completely baffled. It wasn't behavioral, as kids who had started MULTIPLE fights during practice and events were allowed to finish the season. We had never been informed by the coaches that there were any behavior problems. We never missed a practice or game. My kid worked and was committed to the process. It wasn't potential as I pointedly asked "Is he talented enough to play on this team." They said "Yes". The real reason is they actively recruited and brought in a kid that was more physically developed from another team. When he showed up my son was cut. We committed to them for a year, they didn't commit to us AT ALL. If they can replace your son, they will. Not just during tryouts, but right now. They will actively recruit kids from other teams. For high profile tournaments they will bring kids in and your kid will sit or not travel at all. They want to win plastic trophies, not develop ballplayers. Development is hard, recruiting is easy. On the business side everything is an extra charge. You are responsible for buying all uniforms, and gear. Fall baseball is mandatory, but also an extra charge. Off season training, mandatory, and extra for each hitting, pitching, fielding, weights, and catching. So not only are you paying thousands to play there, you are going to have to pay for each and every incremental thing over the course of the year. Things that were included in previous years are suddenly an extra this year. You have no way of knowing, planning, or budgeting. Finally, there may just not be a team all of the sudden. A couple years ago they had two 13U teams that they held tryouts for, told kids they were on which team, but when it was time for practice to start they only had coaches for one team. So they just said "sorry, your team doesn't exist" to half of the kids. It seems that it is all about getting locals to pay, to then sit the bench while they bring in ringers from out of town and put up trophies. If they can get those kids to stay, or at least come into town for tournaments, they'll either at best sit your kid. At worst they'll cut your kid and he'll be left without a team for a season. It wasn't always like this, but each year it has gotten worse and worse. When we started everyone who was on the team traveled. The next year they brought in 1-2 kids to fill out the roster. One tournament this year 4 kids from the actual Select team were invited to travel. The rest were mercenary players from around the country. This is youth sports. These are kids. There are a few good coaches in the organization, but they are few. So if you know someone who is happy there there they may have just gotten lucky. Seattle Select does not care about your kid.
