I will say it is a very nice facility...the fields are AstroTurf ... Literally..the whole field even the pitchers mound . So there are pros and cons to that... There is a fee to get in 10 dollars You can't bring in water or coolers .you have to purchase it at the concession stand. Water bottles are allowed but they have to come in empty!!?? No walk on music ! No chatter ! No noise making machines!!???? To me that's not baseball... Thats not Texas.. That's not America... The facility is owned and operated by the city or Portland... Which means the tax payer own it... So as an out of Towner from Bryan TX San Antonio TX from field that are just as nice and where the fans have the freedom to chatter and bring their own koolers , here is my 3 star review....

I’m honestly surprised by all the five-star reviews. It makes me wonder how many people have actually played on or visited truly well-maintained facilities before. While the complex looks impressive at first glance, the turf is clearly showing significant wear and does not appear to be properly maintained. There are visible issues across the fields, and the overall playing surface is not what you would expect from a facility that markets itself as premier. The restrooms during our visit were dirty and not regularly serviced, which is disappointing given the volume of tournaments hosted here. Concessions were severely understaffed, leading to long lines and a frustrating experience for families and players trying to grab food between games. Overall, the facility has potential, but maintenance, cleanliness, and staffing need serious improvement before it deserves the kind of ratings it’s currently receiving.

Great, family-friendly complex. Nice, clean bathrooms, concessions that could be stocked a little better but gets the job done. Fields are very nice, all turf, batting cages are just outside the complex gates as well as an open public field for warming and public use.
