Great place to get some training in. Would give them 5 stars if they weren't always so crowded. But I guess that speaks to their consistency and ability to please their customers. Very happy with them overall.

We’ve been members at centerfield for the better part of a year now. My oldest plays for 5-Star, the baseball organization that runs operations out of this location. It’s a great place for extra reps and the owner, directors, and coaches all have great experience in developing young players. My son has started Catching Classes with Coach Richie. Richie really has a great heart for young athletes, and my son has responded well to him. We’re looking forward to checking out more lessons and classes that Centerfield and 5-Star have to offer!

Coach AJ I highly recommend. He is fixing the form of my pitchers before my eyes. The work they do in lessons and the homework he gives them has made a big difference. The facility is clean ( even the ladies bathroom) and the staff is friendly.

I have significant understanding in various pitching philosophies, but like many dads, I find that my sons will always learn easier from a third-party. Coach AJ Merkel at Centerfield Baseball Academy is that guy. He's the real deal. He isn't trying a cookie cutter approach to coaching each player to pitch like he "used to." He is very good at analyzing pitching mechanics and relaying that information to young men in a way that they will understand quickly. He's encouraging and engaged throughout lessons. (This isn't you paying to have someone watch your kid pitch a bullpen session while checking their text messages.) I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to progress their pitching approach from foundational to advanced.
