Upon arrival met by a young girl busy on her cell phone. Very unfriendly and can barely hear her speak. I’ve never been here before but I asked for a 30 minute cage rental. I’m told to go to cage 9. Walk down to cage 9 and there is no pitching machine. I’m confused thought that’s what I was getting. Instructor next to me informs me that only the first 3 lanes have a pitching machine and that this lane is for me to throw it myself. Which first of all who pays for that? Why wouldn’t I just throw it to my kid at the field or my backyard? Anyways instructor states she should have given me a bucket of balls. I tell him we were interested in the pitching machine. He responds to go back up and get refund then request the pitching machine. Walk back to front girl still on her cellphone. Tell her we wanted the machine she tells us oh you didn’t say that. To which I’m like you haven’t explained anything. The. She asks about how many credits I want. I ask what is that what does that mean. She finally tells me that it 13-15 pitches per credit. We get the $25 option to which she states okay here ya go. The. I ask wait did you refund the $25 you already charged me or did you charge me again. She charged me again and said she will have to get a manager approval. No manager answers the phone she here alone with no authority to fix mistakes. She called her manager Update: before we left and instructor named Art came out to speak with us. He was very helpful, extremely respectful and was interested in helping us fix the problem. Ultimately we left without our refund but the manager who was out of town for the weekend reached out via text message to let me know if he could refund our money remotely in short. I cannot support any company that puts a child in charge of the facility and leaves her without support. who doesn’t answer and now I’ve called and text messaged. We no longer want to be here and have not used the equipment. Want a full refund and can’t get because she doesn’t have the authority. What a mess this place is. This is the problem with using children to staff your front desk without supervision.

Don't recommend. I called to find out about their pitching machines. They have 3 and it's first come, first serve, so you have to fight all the traffic on Hanna and then hope it's open when you get there. Despite this, I took off work an hour early to try to get a machine. Out of the 3 machines, on one of the lanes, the softball doesn't work. The one we got on pitches to the side 90% of the time. When I asked how to fix it or why they haven't gotten it serviced, they said that it's done that since they bought it, and there's obviously no plans to fix it. I just got shrugged shoulders. My daughter wasn't keen to hit because of the 10% of the time it threw straight and the possibility of getting hit by a 60 mile an hour ball. Not sure if the last machine works, but I guess I will have to go there and wait in line for it to open. Not a fan and will not be back after my 15 credits are used.

We have been going to Dbat for baseball lessons for close to 2 years. We have been with Coach Kelvin for fielding and hitting during that time. We have seen great improvement throughout the time and Kelvin is a great coach that works great with kids. Our son is now into Kid Pitch and we were referred for pitching lessons to Coach Art. Through just a few sessions over the summer, we have seen a great improvement in our son's mechanics and accuracy. Art works great with kids and has a great emphasis on mechanics and arm care. Highly recommend both coaches for lessons!

A little over 5 months ago, Jaxson started working with Coach Art at D-Bat. Jaxson had taken private lessons in the past, but inconsistently. This time, we were starting to prepare him for select team tryouts, so he committed to weekly lessons with Coach Art. Starting out was difficult, to say the least. Jaxson is “different” … he’s diagnosed ADHD … he’s hyper (especially in the evenings, when meds are wearing off) … he’s obstinate … and he pushes boundaries. Jaxson is a very guarded kid, because it’s not often that he’s able to keep “friends”, once he’s let them in and gotten comfortable. He’s “too much” or other people/kids just can’t take or tolerate his level of intensity. So, because of this, Jaxson doesn’t very easily let his guard down. Coach Art saw something in Jaxson, from the first lesson. There were lessons when we walked out frustrated and embarrassed at Jaxson’s performance … but Coach Art never gave up on Jaxson, or in his faith that he could reach him. He NEVER said Jaxson wasn’t coachable. He pushed and remained patient, until he did break through those walls with Jaxson, and he earned Jaxson’s respect and friendship. To this day, Jaxson asks when his next practice with Coach Art is, and is excited to work with him. He gets out there now and does give 185%, and pushes himself through every lesson. We’ve seen impeccable and amazing improvement in Jaxson’s catching, pitching, and hitting. And also in his knowledge of and respect for baseball. Coach Art was God sent, and was certainly placed in our lives with a purpose! We are forever grateful for all that he has done for our Jaxson, and for helping to shape him into the athlete and young man he’s on his way to becoming. We’re moving away soon, so our lessons with Coach Art will be less consistent, but we will be doing anything and everything possible to continue working with him. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, Coach Art … for being an amazing human and Coach. We appreciate it, more than you could ever know.
