I had a negative experience recently at D-Bat in Joshua. I took my son to find a new bat. We were asked who he played for and age group. We asked about appropriate bats for him. The girl at the counter made some recommendations. I asked if it would be acceptable, at that point another young guy was there too and we showed them a bat that we were looking at. They both said that bat was appropriate. They never mentioned anything about it being USA approved or not (I dont know anything about that which is why I asked). My son used the bat for a week to practice and when he showed it to his coach, the coach said it was not appropriate due to it not being USA approved. My son’s dad took him to d-bat on a Saturday, he was told the manager would be in on Monday and he could “work something out.” I went on Monday, the manager immediately said he couldn’t do anything about it, that I should’ve done my due diligence before getting the bat, he said the guy and girl at the counter are “teenagers” so they don’t know. What bothers me is that though perhaps I could’ve asked his coach before, he took no accountability on the lack of training of their staff. Being teenagers is not an excuse and it would be good if they were more knowledgeable on what they’re selling. The bat was around $200. He offered absolutely nothing, and didn’t even apologize. I believe they should properly train their staff. I pay a monthly fee to be a premium member and at the very least he could have apologized. I lost money, we went twice for the same issue and got poor customer service. I’m very disappointed. I must also mention I was never told the bat was not returnable or that it needed to be in the wrapper if it needed to be returned.

We go to D-Bats in Joshua usually once or twice a week. Love the staff and coaches they have. We can usually get in when we would like, but they do get busy so call or check the scheduling on their website. Andrew knows my family by name when we walk in the door and usually what we plan to do.

Great facility we visit often, the staff is amazing. If you're looking for specific training pitching, catching, hitting you should give them a chance.
