I’ve been training with Carmine at Carolina Acceleration since I was 11 years old back when he was in Burlington, all the way through high school. When he moved to Greensboro Batting Center, we followed him there without even thinking twice. That’s how much we believed in what he was doing. We actually told Corey Seager about Carmine too, and he ended up training there and driving over an hour just to work with him. Even during my college and pro offseason, I kept going back to train with him. That alone should tell you something. What makes Carmine different is how well he actually understands athletes. I work with over 200 colleges now, including strength coaches at some of the top programs in the country, and I can honestly say Carmine is better than all of them. If he wanted to be in college athletics, he’d be running a program at a place like Alabama. Instead, he’s focused on helping younger athletes develop the right way. When I first started, I wasn’t anything special. I played right field, hit 9th, pitched a little here and there. My dad drove me 45 minutes, three times a week, because I wasn’t naturally athletic and needed the work. Carmine figured out how I was built—fast twitch vs. slow twitch, and put together a program specifically for me. After a couple years and getting into the 6-tool program, everything changed. I ended up throwing 94 mph, became a completely different athlete, played at Charlotte, and got drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers. The biggest thing I’d say is this: you have to show up. Carmine will give you everything you need, but you’ve got to put in the work. He treats every kid the same, no matter where they’re starting from. Also, it’s way more affordable than you’d expect. Looking back, I honestly don’t know how my parents got that level of training for what they paid. They chose development over weekend tournaments, and it paid off. If you’re even thinking about it, just go meet Carmine or set up a call. Starting at 7 to even 11 or 12 and sticking with it can completely change your path in life. I now own a few tech companies and if it wasn't for Carmine, I don't think I would be where I am today. Thanks Carmine. You will always have a special place in my heart.
