  Route 2 Athletics delivers a true developmental experience for athletes interested in pursuing baseball at the collegiate level. They focus on growth and progression, and while players and coaches alike have a competitive, winning mindset, it doesn’t come at the expense of the safe, long-term trajectory to success. Their coaching staff is skilled, knowledgeable, and dedicated to not just the player, but the person. Coaches provide high quality instruction and set realistic expectations of the hard work it takes to achieve both their athletic and academic goals – on the field, in the gym, and in the classroom. Route 2 commits to talented coaches and players, and to good people, good teammates, and good families who create a positive supportive community within their program. There are numerous coaches with Route 2 who have been exceptional mentors to our son since he was 10 years old. We will be forever grateful for their commitment to achieving his goal, as he embarks on his freshman year as a collegiate baseball player this fall. Our family could not recommend Route 2 Athletics more highly.

  Route 2 has been a terrific program for my son. The emphasis on development has helped him become a confident and capable player. He has felt that the practices and lessons have been organized and instructive, and that he has been well-prepared to compete across youth and high school levels. The coaches stuck with him through a tough injury and have been sources of encouragement, and, in many cases, trusted resources and mentors. Both of us have enjoyed the wonderful connections to teammates and families this program has afforded us. I highly recommend Route 2 if your child has a serious interest in baseball.

  Route 2 Athletics is a wonderful baseball facility and youth training/developmental program. The director and coaches are top notch. Both of my boys have played on various teams. This year will be my oldest son's 4th year playing for the Blue Sox. They've taken multiple lessons and participated in the winter break clinics as well as summer clinics. Some things that I like most about their program is 1) my boys greatly enjoy playing for the Blue Sox teams, 2) my boys enjoy all of the coaches and are treated with respect from the coaches, 3) my boys learn something new and their level improves each year due to the lessons and the coachs knowledge, 4) parent rules and expectations are clear from the very beginning, 5) the coaches aim to win but also develop the kids skills, 6) the Arlington location works great for our family, and 7) the facility is clean. If you are searching for a place to have your kid take lessons or play on a club team, definitely look into Rt 2!

  The Route 2 program offers; excellent position specific training paired with team development, quality coaches that provide instruction as well as development of character and sportsmanship, clear and frequent communication, robust game and tournament schedules, support through the college recruitment process, and a baseball family for you and your child! We settled our boys into Route 2 two years ago and have been truly pleased with their experiences. Over the years, we have encouraged many others to join the Route 2 program as we know they will be pleased as well!
