Batting Cage Reviews

I have been coaching Little League for many years! As parents ask questions about bat size, gloves, uniforms and everything else I suggest they go to bases loaded. They have almost everything a player would need in stock. The customer service is fantastic. My son who is 8 years old also plays travel ball and wanted to get a USSSA bat watched the bat bros reviews. He had a top 3 of bats that he wanted to try out in the hitting area of bases loaded. His top choice was the Easton Dub, followed by the Supra and the hype fire. He had his heart set on the Dub when we left the house. After trying all 3 bats his swing was the worst with the Dub. I videoed the hitting session and showed him. I told him he did best with the Supra. The employee of bases loaded who was a very young man spoke with my son about how the he was hitting with the bat and what he thought was best for him. When a child gets really good feedback from someone that’s not their parent it confirms to them maybe this isn’t the best product for me. After my son spoke to the employee my son looked at me and said I’ll have to look at more videos on bats. I think the low pressure chill environment is fantastic. I would recommend anyone go to bases loaded and see what it’s about! You won’t be disappointed!

On 2/28/2026 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., I drove 45 minutes to Bases Loaded to replace my son’s all-leather glove that was recently stolen. I had previously had a good experience there, which is why I chose them over closer stores. An employee — the only female employee working at the time who was not wearing a Bases Loaded shirt — approached us. Based on how she spoke, she appeared to be in a managerial role. While we were casually browsing bats, she began giving unsolicited and incorrect information about BBCOR regulations. I explained that I coach Pony baseball and understand league rules, and that we were not purchasing a bat. Instead of respecting that, she redirected her comments to my son and incorrectly told him he could not use BBCOR. When I asked to see high-quality all-leather gloves — Heart of the Hide or equivalent — she told me they run $320 and asked if I was “ready to pay that.” The tone was dismissive. I came prepared to purchase a premium glove, not to be questioned about affordability. Another employee helped us select a glove. When I requested break-in service, I was told (incorrectly) that even with break-in, my son would not be able to use it for eight months. That is simply inaccurate. The only positive part of the visit was the young man who broke in the glove. He was thorough, patient, and ensured my son could close it properly. However, during the process, another employee questioned him in front of us about whether we were being charged separately for each break-in method — after we had already paid. The original employee later returned, sarcastically asked if we had “ended up picking a glove,” laughed, and walked away. I spent nearly $400 and left feeling disrespected. As a coach who regularly purchases equipment and makes recommendations to baseball families, this experience was disappointing enough that I will not be returning. Ownership should be aware.

Ian is the absolute BEST! He is so kind and knowledgeable and so patient with my boys. He has such good recommendations for the right gear and bats, understands the baseball world and takes time to ensure your child gets the best fit, whether that is catchers gear or a new bat. Thanks for another great experience!
