The seats need updating. They are untreated wood and welted. The field is nice and seems even. The experience would be more enjoyable if there was a restroom near the field.

Nice park lots of excitement going on with baseball tennis basketball running playground happening at the same time.

The park in general is a nice, actually a beautiful place and easy to get too. But the baseball field that is utilize by Texas Southern is a shame. Considering this is a Division I program that has to compete with UofH, HBU, San Jac, and Rice alone inside the Beltway, as well as all the school that poach the City for talent. It is amazing this program has won a 3rd of the SWAC Championship since 2004, (5 conference titles in six tries in the last 14 years, 3 of 4 in the last four years) with the facilities that are not equivalent to low funded HS programs in the City.
