Yes once again Young Women College Prep Academy takes 1st Place in HISD 4A Volleyball but this time in dramatic fashion vs Wheatley at Barnett Sports Complex. Hats off to this all girls school located in Third Ward. Third straight district title in last 4 years. They have only had a volleyball program for 6 years! Barnett has good viewing seats and clean facilities. Old and rich with history. My only gripe is location! Back off in the neighborhood with potholes leading to the complex and not an easy entry and exit! Not the best place to be hanging out late night. Plenty of HISD police security on sight though and normally like this evening there is a football contest going on which adds to the traffic.

This is a great facility that rivals most of the new expensive stadiums. It is a solid structure that holds twice as much spectators and very accommodating for the athletes. The only issue seems to be the keep ups and maintenance!! HISD Get your act together!!

Only problem I found is when u buy your ticket,it can only be used the one time,so if you leave for any reason you will have to purchase another ticket....so either make sure you bring plenty of money or just make sure that you don't forget anything before going in,it's an awesome stadium,very nice!!! Had such an amazing sun set during my son's football game,he is a senior this year at Splendora ISD,when he graduates he is going to be a Marine for the USA,I'm so proud of him and so thankful to God for him to be blessed enough to play at so many wonderful locations especially as beautiful as Barnett Sports complex thank u for allowing my son the experience!!!! Thank u for having us!!!!

Restrooms are decent, it’s a nice stadium overall, pretty basic, fairly clean. Gets packed quickly, but there’s a good amount of seats
