  My wife coached at Sertoma for a few seasons. After a game, one of the opposing teams parents waited for my wife and daughter in the parking lot, and approached my 13 year old daughter who was helping pack up to leave. (I will refrain from using the same words used because I want to be respectful to you as readers) As they pulled up in their vehicle, the parent threatened my child by telling her she would let her daughter physically harm my kid because her daughter was called a name by my daughter.(We spoke to the home plate umpire, and he said there was no attitude or name calling)That is an adult, Threatening a minor. Not acceptable for any organization in my opinion. Afterwards my wife told who you would think are the proper people, the board for Sertoma, and nothing was done or said. We got every justification for the action of this said adult threatening a minor. Really, an adult should speak to an adult about attitudes and poor sportsmanship from a child. This whole incident is not acceptable, and anyone who thinks it was just okay... well, let's say I wouldn't feel safe taking my kids to play there, because politics have seem to get in the way of what is right, and just. NOBODY should be okay that this happened. The people who run Sertoma seem to think it was okay. Side note, the adult who threatened my child sent an apology letter to a board member. So kudos for admittance of being in the wrong. Still doesn't make it okay.

  My daughter has played for This league for at least 4 seasons now. We have had a great experience for the most part. There has been a little drama, but that’s to be expected when you are dealing with a large number of parents. My daughter loves the league and she has learned a lot and improved over the years.

  Two granddaughters have been and will be playing there for several more years. Nice family oriented and safe area.
