Learned a bit of the history of Downs Field via the memorial plaque outside the field. Awesome historical marker there in Austin.

City baseball field with fenced outfield, covered stands for fans, full bathrooms (cleaned monthly - maybe) and gravel parking. Great place for a recreational game. Go to Sam's BBQ after just a few blocks down the street for a tasty treat.

I often pass while walking my dog, and I love just casually seeing some great baseball being played. I don't know what league this is or anything, but the crack of the bat and the shouts of players can be heard for blocks. It's like a portal to another world
