Nice place, always busy year round. Grill is has good food. If no scheduled games you see parents and coaches out with their teams

I absolutely LOVE this park! I walk here every day with my dogs. I see many of the same people here, and most of them say good morning 🤪. I have never driven here as I live literally next to the park, but there is ample parking and parking for RVs. I do not know if you are allowed to park overnight, but I don't think anyone would hassle you if you did. The park is nestled between the mountains and BLM land, so it is a hidden gem. Even though there are trees around the perimeter, there is NO shade, so if you are coming to walk your dog or to a game, make sure to pack enough water per person (I bring 40 oz of water for a 1 hour dog walk), bring sunscreen, or invest in UV shirts, and bring some type of shade/wear a hat/wide brimmed. If you are into wildlife, you will see many different types of birds like Hawks, crows, American finches, American yellow warblers, Northern Cardinals, blue jays, Gambel's quail, doves, and a few golden eagles (hence the name); frogs, lizards, snakes (only run over, never alive), squirrels, huge desert hares (this park has the biggest hares I've ever seen), chipmonks, and coyotes (I've never seen one during the day, but I hear them at night and saw one around 5am). As far as amenities for out of towners, the park has ample restrooms that are air conditioned, doggy poop stations, two playgrounds for kids to play on during games, and paved trails that go around the circumference of the park. There are also trails if you would like to go hike. I've never been on any of them, but they're there. Lastly, if you are visiting from out of state, the low speed limits in the park are for a reason, there are lots of kids out playing, and don't be the weirdo that walks by with no greeting.

If you build it they will come.... These turf fields are beautiful and a great addition to our community. The kids/ adults here definitely enjoy them. City of Sparks has one of (if not the largest) little leagues in the USA. Baseball has really become huge in our area. Lots of travel ball teams locally pull in lots of tournament games to the area. Red's Grill out there has beautiful views and awesome food. Check it out while you're there too!

Favorite park to play softball at. Only complaint is the no coolers rule. No glass is understandable but no coolers in 100° heat?
