FYI if you bring your service animal they will bring in the sheriff to attempt to remove you. This is illegal and not compliant with ADA. We showed up to watch our son play soccer 30 minutes from home and brought our daughter’s service dog. We were immediately confronted by the “owner” of the park to remove our service dog from the property. He was rude and aggressive when we attempted to explain that she is an accredited service dog and protected by the ADA. Apparently this park is “private” no where on their website does it state that service dogs are not allowed. It states dogs and pets, service dogs are excluded from this. At this point he threatened the sheriff, which we agreed to speak to. The sheriff was kind and empathetic. The “owner” continued to be aggressive and rude giving us 5 minutes to get off the field or sheriff would get involved by removing us. We complied even after pleading our case that she is protected so that my son could continue to play in the game. A little grace and kindness could have gone a long way. Think about how you speak to people. I hope you read this and realize your message could have been told the same way with general kindness instead of aggressive demands and escalation. Your rule is discriminatory and illegal to every person with a disability. § 168-2. Right of access to and use of public places. Persons with disabilities have the same right as persons without disabilities to the full and free use of the streets, highways, sidewalks, walkways, public buildings, public facilities, and all other buildings and facilities, both publicly and privately owned, which serve the public. (1973, c. 493, s. 1; 1991, c. 672, s. 4; c. 726, s. 23; 1991 (Reg. Sess., 1992), c. 959, s. 84; 1997-443, s. 11A.118(a); 2004-203, s. 61; 2005-450, s. 1; 2015-241, s. 12F.17; 2015-264, s. 87(a), (b).) § 168-4.2. May be accompanied by service animal. (a) Every person with a disability has the right to be accompanied by a service animal trained to assist the person with his or her specific disability in any of the places listed in G.S. 168-3, and has the right to keep the service animal on any premises the person leases, rents, or uses. The person qualifies for these rights upon the showing of a tag, issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, under G.S. 168-4.3, stamped "NORTH CAROLINA SERVICE ANIMAL PERMANENT REGISTRATION" and stamped with a registration number, or upon a showing that the animal is being trained or has been trained as a service animal. The service animal may accompany a person in any of the places listed in G.S. 168-3. So happy our family does not live in this town. I hope you’re ashamed of your discrimination and choose to reflect and honor ADA rules so that families with disabilities can also enjoy community sports.

Maintenance supervisor is awful. We were playing on a baseball field with tennis balls and he started yelling at us with 3 kids under 12 years old and under. We were playing baseball with tennis balls and He said we could not hit balls over the fence.we told him we were leaving and he continued to be argumentative for no reason. He’s a hostile human being.
