I love this neighborhood. It’s very safe, and friendly people. There’s a lot of people who are sweet and kind. I’ve personally not been to McGuane Park in so long, but I find the peace in the afternoon summers very comforting. When I was 15-16, I enjoyed McGuane Park because of the comfort and silence and peace it brought me. McGuane Park has no violence, though I’m always sure to be weary of strangers. It’s better to stay in groups than to be alone. You never know the type of people you may meet. Safety is the number one priority. Bridgeport is one of the safest neighborhoods. Although there may be some racist remarks, the racism is not as “BIG” as other neighborhoods (that you may go to, if you’re Asian, Hispanic, or even Black). I believe that the negative reviews people make are based on their own perceptions of negativity. The park is small, but it’s better than most parks. There’s a showering room, a gymnasium, and then other equipments. People who wrote the negative reviews are probably people who don’t appreciate the beauty in everything.

I come here for the swimming pool. They keep it clean but the showers can use an update. There’s mold by the showers which I’m sure isn’t healthy for anyone. The lifeguard staff is nice.

This park is a disgrace homeless people sleeping on the bleachers empty whiskey and beer cans all over including rat holes under the bleachers terribly maintained park. I attend little league games across the city this is the worst.

Very pleasant to walk around & exercise, calming , didn't give 5 starts because no bathrooms had to leave early because of that, & the water dolphin was off
