Strength Conditioning Drill: Pole Sprints (Baseball & Softball)
Classic team conditioning drill sprinting from foul pole to foul pole. Simple but effective way to build endurance at the end of practice.

How to Run This Drill
- Line up all players along the left field foul line near the foul pole.
- On the coach's whistle, all players sprint across the outfield to the right field foul pole.
- Touch the pole and wait for the next whistle. Stay in ready position - no sitting.
- On the whistle, sprint back to the left field pole.
- Repeat 4-8 times depending on age and conditioning level. Younger players need more rest and fewer reps.
- For younger players, rest 45-60 seconds between sprints. Older players can rest 30 seconds.

- Encourage full effort on every sprint
- Watch for proper running form
- Adjust rest periods for younger age groups
- Can time sprints for competition
- Good way to end practice on a high note
