Warmup Drill: Pepper (Baseball & Softball)
Classic bat control game with one batter and 2-4 fielders. Hit controlled ground balls, rotate on misses or fly balls. Great for hand-eye coordination.
How to Run This Drill
- One player bats while 2-4 players stand in a line about 15-20 feet in front.
- Fielders toss the ball underhand to the batter, who hits controlled ground balls back to the fielders.
- Fielders catch the ball and quickly toss it back to the batter. Keep the pace quick.
- If the batter swings and misses, hits a line drive, or hits a fly ball, they rotate to the end of the fielding line.
