This used be an amazing green space in the middle of downtown Milwaukee, yet MSOE decided to build a rarely used women’s softball field. This place gets used April and May, then sits unused for the rest of the year. What used to be a bustling park with disc golf practice space and dog owners alike, now isn’t anything but a dormant waste of space for the school for what I guess was a tax break to build in the first place. MSOE can do what they want with their “land” in a downtown that’s sorely lacking wide open green space, and they can choose to be a part of the community or not, and they’ve clearly chosen to not be a part of the Milwaukee community. I’m sure they’ll read this and scoff with “We needed a well maintained practice space for our women’s softball team”. Call me a hater, but the board strikes again to diminish and worsen the overall space of this great city of Milwaukee. Shame. Here it sits without use, all of summer, forcing the community of downtown Milwaukee to find other green spaces to enjoy.

Decent layout, grass is kind of patchy, trees could be closer, would be better and more useful for the students if there were more seating throughout

beautiful well kept field, seen people do yoga out there and read books in the grass, seems like a perfect place for it.
