We have been here the last few weekends paying baseball. The mounds suck, especially on the field by the parking lot to the left when you drive in. It’s too high, there is so much of the clay dirt dug out from the pitchers. It’s sad to pay so much money to have the fields be in this condition. $12 entrance fees are too high if you’re not going to keep your facility in good condition. Limited parking. Lots were full by 10:30am. I did find a spot after someone left along the trees. The trees and bushes need to be trimmed back so they don’t scratch vehicles. Bathrooms were dirty. Concessions were out of food. Prices were not terrible for the food.

The baseball fields are well kept. The setup of the fields, canopies and bleachers are great. BUT the restrooms lack a lot of attention. It’s difficult to take a child to the restrooms and be afraid to watch their hands at filthy sinks.

Capitol Park is a great place to play. Like most little league fields they do not receive any funding from the city. They do host tournaments on the weekends and all gate fees, field, and restroom responsibilities are controlled by the tournament directors. None of that money goes to the park. The tournament directors are responsible for the fields on the weekends they are there as well as cleaning of the restrooms, but with hundreds of people coming in and out on the weekends, yes the bathrooms may get a little dirty but it is still better than some places you go to.

The baseball fields are artificial turf and we'll maintained. There have been concessions open every time I've been there. Nice soccer fields, too.
