I live right up the street from Shelby Park and I have to say since I moved here about 16 years ago this park has improved tremendously and I hope everybody understands that it’s a park where people walk in take their children and they really need to slow down that’s my only issue is that the car is still a little fast sometimes they’ve got really cool stuff there fishing golfing pot pot a.k.a. miniature golf baseball field‘s football fields you could feed the ducks playground you could ride your bike to get to the Greenway or walk you can rent bikes if you want to even there’s also a center for educating children on nature and there’s also places were you can give a book and take a book or you could just give box or if you don’t have much then you could take a book and I think that’s amazing because that’s one thing children need to do is read no matter what age they are I love my neighborhood and the park is an amazing perk also next-door to the park is a dog park and a recreational center so this neighborhood historic Inglewood is booming we’ve got great homes their building new condos every day it’s a great place for a family to live or even single people because you’re so close to downtown and everything else we’re like in the middle of everything I love it go 37206

This is a baseball field rating only. I enjoyed the field and felt like it had the basics of what baseball field needs to host a tournament. The site lines around the field were ok. You can't watch from the outfield and the sides around the field were limited. The 1st base side had a nice area with trees but with the placement of the dugout and batting cage you can only see home plate when you're right up on the fence. There are bleachers on either side of the plate which seemed fine to watch but open spaces around the field are my preference.

We love playing in this park. The fields are kept up perfectly before and in between games. Never saw a bad hop in 9 games there. The grass is mowed to the right height and mounds are perfectly maintained as well as the batters boxes. Burgers are awesome. Concessions attendants are very friendly. Anyone that says something poor about these fields is obviously not a ball player.
