I live right around the block from this place. There were homeless people sleeping in the storage at the fields. They now blocked off the entire parking area so you have to walk if you want to enjoy the entire park. I think it’s ridiculous to shut off access to a public park.

Photographed Ultra VolleyBall Spring 2021. Fields were well attended, lots of people using the facilities. Very nice shade available on the edges♡. See more photos at polecatphotography.com under Ultra gallery. Didnt check out bathrooms, and had to go to a nearby school to use a picnic table to edit.

Since I live in walking distance I am here quite a bit with my dog. There’s never many people so it is private and quiet. I will say to be careful late night or early morning since I have seen homeless living in the dugout storage sheds. Not sure if they would be dangerous but I got a bad vibe since they were deliberately hiding from me.

Whoever is over the park does just enough to keep about 4 fields semi-usable. Overall the park is in terrible shape. Cages are not safe. It looks the same or worse today as it did 18 yrs ago when I took my then 12 year old to practice. The commission that oversees this park does the bare minimum and it's pitiful. They should be embarrassed with the effort they put forward to make this a viable resource for the community and many teams. They won't communicate for anything. Terrible all the way around.
