It was good, it's visible to the street and parking was not bad. I like that they have rules and lifeguards enforce them. It might be annoying to some but when you have a large amount of kids safety is priority. Pool is a good size, I like that they ask to rinse before getting in pool. Come dressed with bathing suit, my child did but not me since I thought there was a bathroom. No inside bathrooms, there is 2 portables (not the cleanest but it is what it is). There are open cubbies (no door) on one side of the pool area. No chairs, no food/drinks. For a free pool it is decent, can't complain. Good spot for the kids to enjoy!

Use to swim & attend fun summer programs here when I was a kid. Sad to know the center itself is being dramatically under utilized now. Still on a nice day it's a nice place to go sit chill out. People were out today, good to see.

If I were just reviewing the staff who work in the rec center I would give this place a 5-star review. But since I am also including the pool I am subtracting stars. I live 2 blocks away and recently went to the pool for my first time because is has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic. During the day the pool is overrun my unaccompanied minors. I’m not sure what the rule is here, but the average age of all 40 people in the pool should not be 10. Adults who are trying to accompany minors in this pool are going to go to other pools in the city. The staff here are more concerned with me bringing in diving toys, than with a teenager who is “watching / responsible” for 6 children who are coming with them to the pool. It’s a madhouse with only kids. Come on, it’s a public pool, not free baby sitting. I won’t be coming back with my daughter unless someone who is in charge realizes it’s only going to be chaos for your staff unless new rules are put in place.

It needs some renovations to be done, but overall, it's a great little park. I also think those renovations are shared to be done with all the construction being done in the area.
