Very poor customer service. Unwillingness to adjust schedule for teams. Terrible Communication around scheduling, season timelines and hidden fees. Great field and fun place to play if you ca get past all the BS

Horrible customer service from a coach and parent perspective. The refs suck and kids get hurt from fouls that are not called. There's always last min changes on the schedule and they like to argue instead of working out solutions. They take everything too personal and fights have broken out due to this. Do not waste your time they do not care about your child only your money.

As the manager of Sac Athletic FC, I feel compelled to share our experience with the Let’s Play Soccer league. After dealing with repeated issues involving biased officiating, unprofessional management, and a lack of basic customer service, I do not recommend this facility or league to anyone—whether you’re a parent signing up your child or a manager entering a competitive Our most recent match was scheduled with a 22-minute half, and we showed up on time and ready to play. However, the referees delayed the game by over 6 minutes to allow the opposing team—who only had 4 out of 6 players—to prepare. That lost time came directly out of our playing time, which is completely unacceptable. Even worse, the referees showed clear bias. The official in question was repeatedly chatting and joking with the opposing team. Unfortunately, we’ve noticed a consistent trend of favoritism toward Latin teams. While this isn’t something I bring up lightly, the pattern is too frequent to ignore. There’s only one referee at the facility who seems genuinely fair—he has dyed green hair and calls the game properly. A 50/50 challenge during the game somehow resulted in a red card—even though the play was clearly even and within the flow of the match. The player involved, wearing a pink shirt, was only 14 years old and should not have been playing in an adult men’s league in the first place. Despite this, I was handed an 8-match suspension for simply being involved in the situation—an outrageous and unjust punishment with no due process. I have access to video footage clearly showing a fair challenge. When I tried to speak with management about it, they refused to review the footage. I was pulled into the office by a manager named Jimmy, who immediately told me to sit down. I told him I didn’t want to. From that point on, the conversation became one-sided, ego-driven, and dismissive. He wouldn’t listen, wouldn’t review the footage, and refused to consider our side. As I tried to leave and collect my team’s jerseys, Jimmy made unprofessional comments—including a veiled threat, saying he could “show me on the field himself.” That behavior is unacceptable for someone in a leadership role. To make matters worse, Jimmy actively plays in the same league he manages. That’s a clear conflict of interest and only adds to the lack of trust in how the facility is run. No manager should be competing against the very teams they’re responsible for overseeing. We also experienced a massive issue with a scheduled Saturday 6–7 p.m. field rental. Our team showed up early, only to find the facility completely locked. It didn’t open until after 7 p.m., long after our reserved time. The website had the booking confirmed, yet no one from the facility showed up or took accountability. When a staff member finally arrived, they didn’t apologize or attempt to make it right. While we were offered a reschedule, it was pointless—most of our players had already left. League Structure and Referee Conduct This league has no organized divisions, so experienced teams are matched up with beginners, making for unfair and frustrating games. Some referees—and even the one decent one with green hair—actively play in the same league. That’s a massive conflict of interest and seriously undermines the league’s credibility. Worse, our players were being physically slammed into walls with no fouls called, while soft contact from our side resulted in cards. The inconsistency is unbearable. In some games, referees let things flow and hardly blow the whistle; in others, it’s a parade of biased calls. There is no standard. We’ve decided to hold Sac Athletic FC out of the league until major changes are made. If you’re considering joining this league, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere—especially if you value fairness, professionalism, and consistency. Until Let’s Play Soccer addresses these issues—starting with referee training, staff conduct, conflicts of interest, and basic customer service—it’s simply not worth your money or your time.
