First time visiting today. The tent/homelessness situation was a bit worse than expected but as some mentioned, they mind their own business. There's a lot of trash around the entire area. It's a bit surprising to see a track field right next to a college in a state of neglect but, it's functional at least if a bit rough in appearance. No major objects/items on the track, aside from a random piece of trash or two that could be kicked out of the way. I left at about sundown and it looked like lights were turning on. Not sure how well lit it becomes after dark. Seems potentially safe but might be a good idea to stay on alert. There's a lot of tents off in the distance around the perimeter, some being outside the gate. The stairs around the field aren't high enough to make for a good workout. Parking lot gates were closed but street parking right outside was incredibly easy to get. Not sure what mornings are like. I'll definitely return.

Generally I like this park. Its good to run in and I've clocked some decent times on the 400m. There was one day however after the Palisades fires that the nasty air got trapped down there. Boy was I hacking. Not fun. I was wheezing worse than my asthmatic grandmother. I havent gone back since but I plan on it. There are bathrooms but I havent been inside so I cant attest to their quality. 5/5
