We attended the first Dodgers vs Angel's spring training game of 2026. The stadium is in need of some upgrades, especially for the big crowds of these types of Major League games. The concession stands were quite a few but basically offering the same. Lot's of carts & stands with a few vendors but very minimal choices and long lines. The lawn area were jammed packed and hardly any room for all the crowd. Seems like they over sold that area. Plus the sod was damp and very wet, like if they just installed it a couple days before. Couldn't spread out a blanket in some areas due to moisture. Restrooms were overcrowded and also they had a few port-a-potie's at the left field/lawn entrance but weren't being kept during the game and a no go for the ladies. Definitely the Angel's ownership as usual cheaping out on some of the services at this stadium. Parking gets filled up quickly and may have to park at the top of the hill at the Marriott hotel's parking as we did. You'll need to hike a bit but no fun if you have little ones or a pregnant daughter in law as we did. Thankfully my son was able to flag down a golf cart driver to give her a ride. It's baseball at the end of the day and we enjoy it no matter where we watch it. Thank you Tempe Diablo Stadium

This is the Angels home field for spring training! Great place to see spring training baseball, assigned and lawn seating. Get there early to secure lawn seats-bring a blanket, no chairs allowed. They also have an upstairs deck that's much pricier to sit/stand in. Staff is very friendly, kind: spring training is just good vibes all around. Note for alcohol they only sell beer & selters & vodka seltzers, no mixed drinks- go up the hill to the Buttes for good mixed drinks. Food highlight includes the nacho hat, Chik Fil-A stand, corn dogs. Walkways around seating areas can get packed. Restrooms on the 1st base side have quicker lines. Only lotion sunscreen is allowed, however you can purchase sunscreen there if need be. Note this stadium is scheduled to be remodeled for 2027 year if you want to put it on your list for after the remodel.

I love Spring Training. That’s the baseline. But compared to other Cactus League spots, this one didn’t quite land for me or my son. The good first: views from the seats are excellent. You’re close to the action and the sightlines are legit. During Spring Training, players walking across the lot to the stadium is a cool touch, and there are solid autograph opportunities for kids if you’re in the right place at the right time. Now the misses. The backfields just aren’t very accessible compared to places like Salt River or Peoria, which really takes away from the full Spring Training experience. The surrounding area also feels very concrete and industrial. Not much charm, not much vibe, and not somewhere you really want to hang around before or after the game. Overall, it’s fine. I enjoyed baseball because baseball is baseball, but this wasn’t one of our favorite Spring Training stops. If you’re choosing between complexes, there are better, more fan-friendly options out there.

Customer service at Diablo Stadium was 5 star. Everyone had a smile. We even received a ride from the parking lot to the ticket gate coming in and when we left from the exit to our car! Parking price was only $10 ~~ reasonable.
