Frequently Asked Questions

What is a good baseball scorecard template?
A good template has a diamond-cell batting grid (not just boxes), clearly marked inning columns, a pitcher log with all standard stats (IP, H, R, ER, BB, SO), a catcher log with passed ball tracking, inning totals, and a header for game metadata. Ours include all of these.
Can I edit these baseball scorecard templates?
The PDFs are designed to be printed and filled out by hand, not edited digitally. If you want a customizable scorecard, use our digital scorekeeper which saves everything electronically and exports a PDF at the end of the game.
Are the baseball scorecard templates really free?
Yes, completely free. Standard 7-inning and 9-inning templates download without any signup. A few advanced templates (Coaches' Stats Tally, Tournament format) are free after creating a free account.
Which baseball scorecard template should I use?
Youth/Little League: 7-inning scorecard. High school / travel ball: 7-inning scorecard. College / adult leagues: 9-inning scorecard. Not sure: use the 7-inning — it covers most situations with extra-inning rows for games that go long.
Can I use these baseball scorecard templates commercially?
For your team, league, or personal use — yes. For resale or inclusion in a product you sell — contact us for licensing. The templates are free; selling them as your own is not permitted.
Do the baseball scorecard templates work internationally?
Yes, the scorecards use standard baseball notation that is understood globally. The only consideration is paper size — our templates are US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches). A4 users may need to scale slightly, which does not affect functionality.
How often should I print new baseball scorecard templates?
One per game. Some scorekeepers print 10-20 at a time at the start of the season and keep them in a binder. Others print fresh each week. Either works — the templates are free to reprint as often as needed.
