Outfield Drill: Fungo to Outfielders (Baseball & Softball)
Game-like fly ball and ground ball reps for outfielders. Adjust difficulty to each player and focus on proper technique before adding speed.

How to Run This Drill
- Outfielders spread out across their positions in the outfield.
- Coach hits fungo fly balls and ground balls from the infield, varying location and difficulty.
- Adapt the speed and distance to each player's skill level - some need easier balls than others.
- Start with routine plays before progressing to balls requiring movement.
- With multiple coaches, one can hit to left/center while another hits to center/right.
- Players without coaches can hit to each other using soft toss and fungo.
Coaching Points
- Adapt difficulty to each player - build success first
- Do not use hard baseballs until players show proper technique
- Repetitions are the key to outfield improvement
- If players miss easy balls, slow down and work on fundamentals
