Warmup Drill: How To Warm Up for a Baseball Game - BEST Pre-game Warm Up (Baseball)

The most effective pre-game warmup sequence demonstrating key movements to properly limber up and prepare for competition. Quick, efficient, and comprehensive.

Instructions

Start with 2-3 minutes of light jogging to transition body from rest. Execute dynamic leg movements: leg swings forward/back and side/side, walking lunges, high knees, butt kicks. Perform upper body dynamics: arm circles large and small, trunk rotations, overhead reaches. Include baseball-specific patterns: shuffle steps both directions, drop steps, sprint mechanics. Focus on rotational core warmup with twisting movements. Begin throwing progression at 30 feet focusing on proper mechanics, gradually increase to game distance. Add position-specific movements as players warm. Complete with light ground balls or fly balls to activate muscle memory. Finish with deep breath and mental focus.
