Fielding Drill: Soft Fly (Baseball & Softball)
Beginning season drill using soft covered balls and racket to help shy players get used to catching fly balls. Gets kids comfortable judging fly balls without fear of injury.
Instructions
Use soft covered ball and tennis/racket ball racket. Coach hits ball very high with racket. Players practice catching fly balls in glove and judging the ball. Safe for players who miss since soft ball won't hurt.
